Where experience, education, and intuition create each custom massage.

At Method Massage & Bodywork in Richmond, VA, we talk to you about how your body is feeling—what’s hurting, what feels out of balance and what’s simply fatigued—and about your life, including your stresses, your health and the exercise you’re doing. Building on the information we’ve gathered, we give you a Method Massage that is uniquely customized to your body and your life.

Because Method Massage & Bodywork wants you to maintain that “feel-good” sensation for as long as possible, we also provide you with tools and resources to maximize the effects of our massage. We’ll even ask you for feedback at each visit so that we know we’re making progress toward your goals and keeping your body performing at its best.

The people behind the massage.

Meet your method.

Katherine Cline, massage therapist

Katherine trained as a massage therapist at Medical Careers College in Richmond, VA and graduated in 2007.

Her introduction to holistic healthcare came early in life when, as a teen, she began working part-time at a Chiropractor Center. Immediately, she fell in love with the natural modalities and practices of healthcare.

Massage Therapy seemed a perfect niche to blend her nurturing spirit and thirst for continuing education. Her experience is to take a clinical approach to each session and enhance that with a client-focused outcome.
She is here to get the best out of each session and to help you reach your goals, whether they be to reduce stress, manage pain or for preventative care, there is none too big or small that can be achieved.

Kait Sullivan, massage therapist

Kait graduated from the Lotus School of Integrated Professions in March 2018, after completing her yoga teacher training at OM ON Yoga.

The exposure to the healing art of Thai Massage taught by J Miles during yoga training inspired Kait to pursue her massage licensure.

Kait sees massage at the physical application of metta – loving-kindness meditation. Which helps her mindfully hold space for each client and listen to the ever changing needs of the body. Kait customizes each session to meet the needs of each and every client.

Kait’s style combines deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release techniques and stretching to calm, reset and relax the body. In the future Kait hopes to study cupping, prenatal and further her studies in myofascial release.

Sarah Blehm, massage therapist

Sarah has always been intrigued by how the body works. In fact, she first earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Mary Washington. She always had hopes of furthering her education in the medical field, and while interning with a chiropractor her senior year at college, her mentor gave her the advice to attend massage school for more experience and exposure.

Sarah enjoyed listening to her clients’ problems, helping them resolve those problems, and ultimately, improving their quality of life. That was seven years ago. Since then, along with being Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Sarah has earned additional certifications to provide a diversity of clients with exactly the method of massage they need.

Her style integrates elements of Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, and Myofascial Release, as well as movement and specialized stretching techniques. The custom-created massage provides an intentional experience resulting in each client feeling balanced, refreshed and relaxed.

Sarah is also a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
